This notice explains what personal data we process when you use gumy.ai, why, on what legal basis, and how you can exercise your rights. gumy.ai is an AI entertainment service that lets you chat with fictional and parody characters. We keep data collection to the minimum the service needs.
Who we are
gumy.ai operates this website and decides how your personal data is processed. To reach us about privacy or to exercise your rights, email gumy.ai@yandex.ru.
What we collect
- Sign-in identity — you sign in with your Yandex account directly through gumy.ai. We never receive or store your password; we keep only a session identifier and, once you register, your in-app coin wallet.
- Messages you send — the text you send to a character is sent to a third-party AI provider (DeepSeek) to generate the reply. Do not share sensitive personal information in chats.
- Your IP address — used to limit anonymous chat and prevent abuse (a per-day message cap).
- Cookies & analytics — essential cookies for sign-in, language and theme, plus Yandex.Metrika, which collects usage statistics to help us understand and improve the site.
Personal data of public figures
- What we publish — character pages show reference details about real public figures: year and place of birth, nationality, occupation, family and professional relations, and a short biography.
- Where it comes from — Wikidata (wikidata.org), a publicly available structured reference database. We do not gather this information ourselves and do not obtain it from the people concerned.
- The basis — our legitimate interest in operating an informational and entertainment service: the details are already public and concern public activity. The characters are AI parodies, not the people themselves, and are unaffiliated with them.
- How to correct or remove it — the person concerned, or their representative, can write to gumy.ai@yandex.ru with a link to the page. We review such requests and correct or remove the data.
Why we process it and on what basis
We process this data to provide the service you request (performance of a contract), to keep it secure and prevent abuse and to understand and improve usage (our legitimate interests), and, where the law requires it, on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw consent or object at any time.
Sharing & international transfers
We share data only with the providers that make the service work — Yandex, which handles sign-in and, through Yandex.Metrika, our analytics, and the third-party AI provider that generates replies — and with authorities where the law requires. These providers may process data on servers outside your country; where they do, appropriate safeguards apply.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal obligations, and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email gumy.ai@yandex.ru. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
