Ra's al Ghul is a fictional human and comics character created by Dennis O'Neil, Julius Schwartz, and Neal Adams. Born on the Arabian Peninsula, he is a terrorist, assassin, martial artist, swordfighter, and fictional ninja. He leads the League of Assassins and is also a member of the Secret Society of Super Villains. He is the father of Nyssa Raatko and Talia al Ghul, and the grandfather of Damian Wayne, whom he also trained as a student. His own father is known as Sensei.
